The company's ability
to engage in a diversity of projects is rooted the experience
of its principals - Austin Fisher, Kathleen Fisher,
and Larry Spraker. Together, they offer over 45 years
of combined professional experience in spatial technologies
and application development. They are supported by a
team of project managers, GIS analysts, and programmers
drawn from the fields of computer science, engineering,
geography, and urban planning.
Austin Fisher, President
Mr. Fisher coordinates the firm's long-term strategies
and manages the consulting services operations. He holds
a Masters degree in Geography with a specialization
in geographic information systems and has 15 years of
professional experience in the GIS industry. Past experience
includes positions as Manager of Computer Mapping for
the New York City Planning Department, and Director
of Data Products for MapInfo Corporation. He sits on
the board of the New York State GIS Coordinating Council
and is an adjunct professor at Union College in Schenectady.
Mr. Fisher has extensive experience with ESRI and MapInfo
products, and with New York State spatial data.

Larry Spraker, Vice President
Mr. Spraker, with over 16 years of professional experience
in the GIS industry, is recognized as one of the Nation's
leading experts in the development of Internet/intranet
based GIS applications using ArcIMS. Prior to joining
Applied GIS, he served for five years as the Director
of Geographic Information Systems of the New York State
Parks Management and Research Institute. Mr. Spraker
has served as a member of the Private Sector Advisory
Board and the Data Coordination Work Group for the New
York State Governor's Office for Technology. He is also
an adjunct faculty member at the State University of
New York at Albany.

Kathleen Fisher, Principal
Ms. Fisher has over 16 years of professional experience
in the use of Geographic Information Systems, having
extensive experience with both MapInfo and ESRI software
products. She has performed research and analytical
work in the public and nonprofit arenas including the
New York State legislature, the Hudson River Greenway
Council and the State University of Albany's Rockefeller
College and Professional Development Program. Ms. Fisher
was appointed a member of the New York State Division
of Budget's Temporary GIS Council. Ms. Fisher is also
an ESRI-certified instructor for Introduction to ArcGIS,
and Migrating from ArcView 3.x to ArcView 8.
